In It Together
My practice is fully inclusive and all humans age 14 and up are welcome here. A good fit is what matters most when selecting a therapist and this goes both ways. I would encourage you to settle for nothing less.
CIMBS Therapy
Your mind has systems, not just symptoms.
CIMBS acts as physical therapy for the mind, delving beneath our behaviors, thoughts, and emotions to shape our life's trajectory.
Thoughts, feelings, and behaviors emerge from deeper processes in the mind, and working only at that surface level has real limits: symptoms return, or new ones take their place, because the patterns generating them haven't actually changed.
CIMBS works at the deepest levels of the mind-body system, addressing the root attachment learning and trauma that shape how we operate in the world. People often report surprise when they spontaneously start responding differently to situations and people.
I am a certified CIMBS therapist and train other therapists in this paradigm.
(CIMBS stands for Complex Integration of Multiple Brain Systems.)
Family Therapy
All behavior makes sense if you understand the context.
Family therapy focuses on understanding and improving the interactions within a family, how individual behaviors are shaped by, and shape, the health of the whole system. But family therapy is also an orientation, not just a room with multiple people in it. The same skills that help a family function can help you navigate the other "families" you're part of: work, friendships, your family of origin.
I frequently support families where one member isn't ready or willing to seek help. This is often a powerful way to support a struggling loved one, even when they're not in the room.
In addition to my extensive family therapy training, I am a certified Positive Discipline parent educator.
Psychedelic Assisted Therapy
We are in the midst of a paradigm shift in psychotherapy.
Now offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and Psychedelic Integration services*. Psychedelics, meaning "mind-revealing," can help people access states of mind that support deep emotional processing and lasting change.
I partner with Skylight Psychedelics for medical oversight: they handle medication management and ketamine lozenge (troche) prescriptions, while I provide the therapeutic support. Together we determine what's safe and appropriate for your process.
I am certified as a psychedelic-assisted therapist by the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and have completed MAPS training for MDMA-Assisted Therapy. In addition
I do not advocate or endorse the use of any illegal psychedelic substance and only provide harm reduction support and integration services.
